In 2012, Slate magazine called the Essential Geography, "The greatest paper map of the United States you'll ever see." But, compared to the 1st Edition (left), I feel the 2nd Edition (right) calms a lot of chatter, looks more like the real world, and falls easier on the eye. The 2nd Edition tells the intertwined stories of land, water and people with a level of clarity that speaks to the heart.
